| Here is Alano at just a few weeks old. He was born a bay but is now a nice chocolate brown. | Here is Alano at about 6 months with his mom. Muneca. See how his bay coat is now darker. | This is Alano in his winter wooly coat at 8 months. |

These were taken in early March of 2007. He is still in winter coat. soon I'll have some pictures of him all shed off and looking slick. He will be a solid dark brown. |
He will lead, load, tie and I am starting on his lunging lessons. He takes everything calmly and quietly. Under all that hair is a nice looking head. He is not at all mouthy like some yearlings. |
Here are some pictures of Salvada, daughter of Consentida, my beloved black Paso fino mare.

This is Salvada. These pictures were taken late last summer. She was a yearling. She has a few white hairs on her forehead but no socks. This year she has more roaning showing up along her flanks and chest. I might think she could be turning gray but she has no gray parents. |

Here is Salvada in her rather motley winter coat. You can see the roaning at her flanks. She will be shed off and looking sleek and smooth soon. She is well started on ground work and stands, ties, loads well. She has a full thick mane and tail. |

These are some baby pictures of Salvada. She is named "Salvada" ( Spanish for saved) because a old gelding tried to kill her soon after she was born. Her dam, Consentida tried valiantly to save her from the attacks of the vicious gelding. Fortunately she was soon rescued. Salvada is bold and fearless despite her traumatic brush with death as a young foal.
I have the dams of both of these young Paso Finos. I ride both dams frequently. If you like, you may ride them to see what kind of gait that Alano and Salvada are likely to have when they are grown.
