Horses for Sale

I ride all my horses, that are old enough to ride.  I won't sell something as ridable that I won't ride. I have worked with each of these horses enough to know their personality, training and traits. I will honestly tell you why I am selling each horse and disclose both the good and not-so-good of each  horse.

Paso Finos

Foaled June, 2006 Sire: Pojo's Baile El Tango                 PFHA # 41,082
PFHA # 49554 Dam: Muneca de Verde                     PFHA #19061

Alano is a very dark brown colt. His dam, a gray,  is a very sensible natured Paso that I ride all the time.  She has energy but is easily controlled. She will walk with out jigging and stands with out fretting. Alano is just like his mom, quiet, calm and a pleasure to handle. He is now almost a year old. He appears to be going to mature quite a bit taller than his mom. As you can see in this photo is is almost her size at 6 months. She stands 14 hands. the sire was just a 2 year old and has not reached his full growth so I don't know how tall he was. The sire is a dappled buckskin Paso owned by Jonelle McCoy of Praque OK. Alano has been handled since birth but not so much that he is spoiled or a pest. He will stand quietly when tired, He leads without pulling, He stand for the farrier without a fuss. He is easy to train and it takes just a few lessons and he has it. He is willing  and not stubborn. If I were keeping him, he has just the disposition I'd like to try to train one myself from a foal. Alano de Descornex

Foaled July, 2005 Sire: Galan del Paradero                 PFHA # 10670
PFHA # 46,932 Dam: Negra Consentida   Asdeoccidente # 174392

Vada is a bay filly with a few white hairs on her forehead and some flank roaning. Her dam is my beloved black mare, Connie, who is imported from Columbia. Vada is bold and fearless in temperament. Nothing seems to frighten her. Her dam is just 13. 2 but full of heart and can go all day without hardly breaking a sweat. Her sire was a bay tobiano pinto and I do not know how tall he was since I didn't actually see him. The dame was bred when I bought her.  Although Vada will mature taller than her dam, she will probably not be much over 14 hands. She has been hand raised since she was a foal and has been exposed to a variety of things. She leads, ties and has been started on some ground training. Vada is persistent, intrepid and an adventurer. She will go where other horses fear to tread. I'm not sure I am as brave as this filly. For instance, she taught herself to load in the trailer. Peruvians

Foaled  April 1997 Sire: Senor Dedo de Oro HDP                Reg. # 5054
NAPHA #19058 Dam: Lena Nena                                   Reg. # 4393

I got Cori last fall to breed to my Peruvian stallion. I do not think they will compliment each other so I am selling her. Although she is broke to ride, I have not ridden her yet. Before I got her, she had some intermittent lameness issues. I have not noticed any lameness in her but I cannot guarantee she is sound since I have not ridden her.  If she is here long, I will ride her and see how she goes. If she proves sound, as I think she will, her price will go up. She is very pleasant to handle and seems to have no bad habits at all. Her feet and legs appear to be in excellent shape. As far as I can tell without riding her, she seems to be well trained. For more pictures of Cori click here.

 HDP Corista

Foaled Sept. 1997 Sire: Avatar                                      NAPHA #20477
NAPHA # 20490 Dam: Campanada                              NAPHA #20478

I bought  this mare sight unseen from a breeder in Colorado. She was shown and did well there. Allie is a delightful ride but smaller than I wanted. I'm a pretty chunky girl as you can see and she is just 13.2 hands. I'd not want to ruin her fine gait or stress her because I was to heavy for her.  This mare is well trained, smooth and has plenty of energy. I have taken her trail riding and she sure did turn heads with her flashy gait, smooth ride and pretty looks. Her feet and legs are excellent and she has never been shod. Allie loads, ties and stands for the farrier. She has 4 matched socks and a big star to highlight her dark bay color. Her mane and tail are full and long. This is a very pretty mare for a smaller rider than I am.  I can sell her open or bred to my Peruvian stallion for an additional fee. Click here to see some additional pictures of Allie.

Foaled March, 1995 Sire: Delightful Colors            TWH # 898714
TWH #950882  SSH #10300070 Dam: Doatsey Mae D.E.          TWH # 860726

Delight matches her name. She is a very pretty feminine double registered pinto mare. She has a gorgeous small head unlike the usual large homely head of the typical walking horse. Delight is 14.3-15 hands tall and much easier to mount than the usual tall walker. You can see her bold black tobiano coat pattern. She is fully trained to ride and I have ridden her many times. Unfortunately, she got an injury, that as it healed shortened the stride on one hind leg. She still walks, gaits and canters but she isn't smooth any more but has a hobble to her stride. It causes her no pain and she gets around fine. This mare is very gentle and mannerly. She loads, ties and stand for the farrier and she has great feet. I have bred her to my Peruvian stallion for a fall 2007 Tennuvian baby. Now that baby will gait!
